Worlds will collide on 30th November when John Wayne Parr ‘The Gunslinger’ and Anthony ‘The Man’ Mundine go head to head in the ring.
This is a world class fighting event not to be missed, this is the last fight that ‘The Gunslinger’ will take, making the decision to enter into retirement.
“Yes, this is the last one,” Parr said. “I planned to have one more Muay That fight, but unfortunately my body wont allow me. Injuries have got to the stage where the pain has taken away the enjoyment of training.”
“This fight (against Mundine) I am pushing through, as it’s such a massive opportunity and a chance to introduce myself to Australia. If I get the win my final fight record in Muay Thai, Kickboxing and boxing will be 110 wins. Hopefully with 57 knockouts out of 147 fights.”
The Australian Muay Thai kickboxing legend will face Mundine in a ten-round 75kg catch weight boxing match.
This will be the first fight for Mundine after his first round knockout at the hands of Jeff Horn last November.
“I’m very excited, very eager to redeem myself after my last performance. What happened, happened, but I’m going to show the people I’m still the man”.
Mundine himself is already dubbing this fight the redemption fight, and the heat is rising fiercely.
“They should call this fight the redemption fight after what happened last year. I’ve still got what it takes. He wants to get that notoriety and beat the best that’s held this shit down for two decades”.
NGS Crypto is a proud sponsor of John Wayne Parr ‘The Gunslinger’ and had the absolute pleasure of meeting with John Wayne Parr at his Boonchu Gym in Burleigh, Gold Coast, Australia.
During our meeting with ‘The Gunslinger’ he gifted us signed fighting gloves and signed fight posters. The signed fight gloves will be raffled off at Casablanca Bar and Restaurant and James Cook Bar and Restaurant, both located in Sanur, Bali.
All proceeds from the raffles will be given to well deserving charities in Bali. One of the charities all proceeds will be going to Metta Mama & Maggha Foundation, a local school in Denpasar, Bali, and Rumah Sehat, a small, non-profit charity in one of the poorest regions of East Bali, providing a free clinic for local people with healthcare and education.
It was an absolute privilege to be welcomed into Boonchu Gym, and to receive such amazing memorabilia to help much deserving charities.
We will be cheering on John Wayne Parr in his final fight.
